Scale boy who?

Jan 18, 2012

Haven’t seen a scale in at least 6 months. I think I remember where it is... Just kidding, I pass by it every morning. I just don’t get on it anymore. I have been at the same weight for a year and it only goes up and down by 5 pounds. I'm happy that I have been able to maintain for so long.

Where Im At

Oct 25, 2010

Okay so I’ve stopped taking the medicine for arthritis and low and behold I’ve lost 10 pounds in a week. Good that the weight is coming back off but dang I hurt most days from arthritis pain. I am pretty sure most of the aches and pains would go away if I can talk myself back onto my bike. Working 12 and 1 hour days is a betting in itself but its an awesome upper body workout every day.

2 years and 7 months

Oct 01, 2010

Wow, 2 years and 7 months later and I have been at the same weight for more then 6 months. Dr. B says that my body has found the weight that it wants to be at. Not much I can do about where its at. I burn on most days 5400 calories and take in maybe 2000 and don’t lose any weight. I have been subconsciously trying to get back down to 240 but not many people liked the way I looked when I was there. Too boney from what they say. Anyway, you only get one chance at life make sure you grab it by the reigns and put it in the direction you want to take it!

11 Months down and 1 to go

Jan 09, 2009

Wow what a ride, it has been a very interesting year to say the least. The first 3 months I lost 100 pounds and stalled for a month then lost 90 pounds over 3 months. I have been at the same weight for about 5 months now. I have put on about 10 pounds but I am still 5 pounds below my goal weight. Mentally I am in a good place as long as I take my Meds and Vits. Please remember to take your Vitamins. The skin thing I won’t even mention because it plays tricks on my mind. I can’t stand the way it looks sometimes are should I say when I bend a certain way I don’t like the way it hangs. I have Hips, collar bones, Adams apple, ribs, and bones, yea, I said bones. Bones that I have never seen or felt before are here and there. My butt is gone and most of the time hurts when sitting on anything other then a padded chair. I am happy and love my tool and my Doctor who help me save my life. God bless RNY’s and Dr. Wade Barker.

I’ve lost me and don’t know where to find me!

Jul 20, 2008

I am not sure who I am, some of you may find that funny but I am not the same person I was 4 months ago. In February of 2008 I had Gastric bypass surgery which has forever changed my life. I am no longer dependent on blood pressure medicine or use a machine for sleep apnea. If you have never been so over weight that all you feel like you can do is sit around and pray that you don’t hurt or ache then you wouldn’t understand. Since the surgery I have lost 145 pounds and my attitude towards life has changed considerably. I am active in bike ridding and ride my bike about 100 miles a week. I prefer to dress better then what I have the last 30 years of my life. I care more about the way I look when I am in public. I have changed mentally because I am not sure of the things that I want for the rest of my life. I know there will be some changes I am just not sure what they will be. I have days that I am clear and know what I want but then I have days that life is all mushy inside and I couldn’t tell you what I want for lunch. Most of my friends who still speak to me have also had weight lose surgery. The other friends who didn’t think that I needed surgery haven’t bothered to check on me since before surgery. Its there problem cause I am a good friend.
