For the past 10 years I would yo-yo with my weight and back to over 200 pounds in 1995, I knew I needed to make changes, after many days of research, prayer and soul searching I choose the VBG (vertical banded gastroplasty). I just wanted to be slim and therefore 'acceptable'. These past 10 years, I have been unable to keep any food down. I now have a lot of other health problems that go along with this surgery. I have diarrhea on a regular basis, I am unable to have any dairy products, I am tired a lot, I continue to vomit no matter how much I chew and every time I tried to mention the difficulties I was having, I was told 'people only throw up because they're not doing it properly', implying that my suffering was all my fault, I felt so ashamed and embarrassed of throwing up 4-5 times a day, thinking it must be me, that I stopped saying anything.
Take care & stay safe
