2 yrs out :-) I'm surviving!!!

May 06, 2012

This has been a battle to learn how to adjust with the loss of my husband (this month May 2012 makes it 16 months) and my wt. loss surgery just over 2 yrs ago. I'm blessed to have had my surgery when I did and be able to loose my wt and have a new beginning, this has been the best desicion I had made for myself, I feel so much stronger and healthier now being thinner I'm able to go on hikes with friends and go and not have to worry about me needing medications for my blood pressure and sleep apnea is gone! I feel like I'm 35 vs 52 yrs old now due to my wt. loss.  I wouldn't say this surgery is for everyone but I myself would say for me it turned me into another person I now have less knee, feet, and overall body pain, I now have good heath and a new me all together. All the neg. I heard about Bariatric Surgery I knew I had to make my decison for me myself and so glad I had surgery I don't regreat it.  The only draw back right now is that I have excess skin on my inter  thighs and my stomach (not bad at all with clothes on but for myself will make me feel better to have it gone)  I will hope by early next yr I will be able to afford my surgery & I can learn more about skin removal surgery,  so far I'm happy with my outcome with working out in gym with all other areas to tighten if I can't do surgery I'm just proud to be healthy for my family and myself.  Good luck to all who decide on having the surgery the only suggestions I can give is read and learn all you can and follow Dr's instructions to prep and all will be good.  God Bless friends and I thank God for his blessings to me & my new beginning and all those with their wt loss journey weather it's with or without surgery.
