Received approval from OHIP for DS in just two weeks!

After waiting three weeks for my family doctor to sign my out-of-country approval form, I sent it by fax to the Ministry on Friday, April 3.

Fortunately, before I sent it, I read on the OH forum that a "preferred provider" program was now in place, so I quickly changed surgeons before sending off the form.

To my surprise, my application was approved today, April 17, without any requests for further information. Basically, just 10 working days from time of submission to approval for the consultation. I am, needless to say, thrilled!
