Im Jesus or some call me Paco. I was born and raised in San Diego, California
I had always been a big all my life from the day I was born. At birth I was 12.5 pounds and at my heaviest I was about 405. When I was younger in elementary school there a time where the school got involved with the issue of my weight and the Government wanted to take me away from my mom because of my health but that never happened. I think I had a very good childhood besides my dad leaving when I was 10 but it didn’t bother me as much as I feel it should have but I just made me stronger as a person.
I had always tried diets from pills, exercise plans and just drinking slim fast and they worked at the beginning but never had long term success. In high school I would loose about 50 pounds doing football and marching band but by the end of our seasons I would just put the weight back on until the next year of football and band. I knew I was big but it didn’t really bother I had many friends went to dances and had dates but it wasn’t really till after high school that I realized my weight was out of control and I realized how big I was. What made me realize that need to change was seeing my mom in the hospital because she didn’t take good care of her health and the poor decisions in her diet that caused her to become diabetic and seeing her in the hospital for a month.
I finally made the decision to start my journey to having weight loss surgery. I’m order to start the classes before having the surgery I had to go on a diet for 6 months and I had to take a 6month class to get my prepared to have the surgery and after those classes I had to meet with doctors and go to therapy a few times to ensure I’m ready for the changes. After that I had to wait a few more months and got my date for surgery May 10th but was fortunate to get in on February 1st. This journey took me almost 2 years to reach but I am so grateful for being able to have the surgery and I would love to help others.
