Best wishes on you surgery tomorrow. I know you will do great!! E-mail me when you feel up to it. And let me know how you are doing. Take care. I will be having surgery with Dr. Appel sometime in the next months.

8/29/01 - I had my preop testing on 8/27, glad that step is done. I'm really, really excited and can't wait for the surgery. I have some wonderful friends and family who are being so supportive and encouraging. The wait to get my surgery date was the most frustrating time!! I started the process right after New Year's Day 2001. I soon was told that I had elibibility & benefits, so I could do the psych eval. Had that in 2/01. Then they told me in 3/01 that the surgery was approved and gave me a precert #. I then had my gallbladder ultrasound & barium swallow. The last thing was to meet with the surgeon & go over signing consents. That was on 4/13/01, and from that day to the very end of July, I was WAITING!!! I thought I would go nuts before I finally got THE call. Then I started taking care of odds & ends I wanted to have completed prior to surgery. I work at a great job that has been very supportive about this whole thing. I am also very fortunate to have short term disability so I will be paid while I am out. God has been good. I pray for wisdom & skill for my surgeon, and no complications for me every day.
