My story is a little late getting out
Jul 29, 2008
I am new to this website but I have been a post-op for a few year's now I had my surgery in Jan of 04' my body mass was 88.5 (approxmately). I am 4 foot 10 1/2 and the day of surgery I weighed 438. The past 4 1/2 year's has not been easy but Dr.H and Margie has been my lifeline at times. I was very Skeptical in the begining It took Five doctor's telling me within a six year span that I was not going to make it without WLS. So I scared out of my mind said ok I'm going to Die if I don't But with it I at least had a Fighting chance to make it . I was a Diabetic, I had high blood pressure,I was having chronic Infection's in my leg's. I also had sleep apnea, Severe Depression to the point I did not want to go out of my house! Last but not Even the least of these is My liver was so Enlarged the normal weight is 8 lb. but mine was 35lb's Needless to say it was failing me . So I did have the surgery six weeks after surgery I had lost 86 pounds but that was because my stomach had healed to tightly at the top and wouldn't let even liquid through. Dr.H had to go in with a scope and stretch it open. I have over the year's had some issues with scare tissue and had to have some additional surgeries and a hernia repair but Dr.Hornbostal and his nurses have been wonderful and caring through all . I am so Thankful I decided to go with this Dr. I would recommend this Staff of People to anyone because they are a True Center of Excellance.
