Hello! My name is Pam and I am morbidly obese! I don't want to be morbidly obese any longer! I have struggled with my weight my
entire life. I have lost more than 100 pounds twice, but wasn't able to maintain it long term. I am hoping that RNY surgery will provide
one of the tools to help me eat less. Earlier this year I found out I am prediabetic. I've had sleep apnea for about 3 years and use a
CPAP machine. I also have hypertension and am on 2 meds for that. Besides my health, I feel like I've missed out on alot of fun
activities with my family. On hikes, I'm always struggling to keep up, and have to stop alot to rest. My kids are in college now, and my
husband and I are looking forward to more "travel and leisure" for ourselves, and I want to be healthy and mobile enough to walk,
climb stairs, and fit in those horrible airline seats without infringing on other people's space. I am so happy to find a site like OH
and meet other folks who are going through the same journey.
