Ok I started out going to Gateway to Dr Steely and went through the whole process and then tri care denied me . was so discouraged but I refuse to give up I went on post and asked to be considered there for the surgery .I met Dr Sanborn he is sooooo nice and takes the time to talk  to you himself 
I got my surgery date yesterday I am having surgery Monday sept 17th .(I am sure thats a date I will never forget. I will keep you all posted I am looking forward to getting my new life .

So I met Doctor Steely it was a fast in and out exam he had a lot of patients waiting to see him it felt like we all got there at the same time Kind of like an assembly line LOL.
Im sure after I find out if I am approved for surgery it will be a little better .I went to my first seminar at Gateway and teh Doctor wasent there the nurse (Nurse Steely) she was very nice ! did the seminar instead. it was pretty much what I expected they just inform you on the different types of surgery what to expect the dos and donts She said all there Surgerys are done Laproscopic (whew) that was a big relief.  
Then I stayed for the support group after .It was ok ,a little rushed . But after wards this Great lady named Susan Jones came up to me and started talking to me and stayed for about an hour or more after she answerd all my questions .She is such a beautiful person inside and out .I just wanted to say thank you to her ,and to all of you who have real questions ask some one whos ha dit done and get the facts .It was soooo helpful :)

Okay so I decided to start the process of having WLS after a very long battle of trying to loose weight and being incredibly unsucessfull and feeling like a big failure. I think I have tried every diet on earth and many of the pills thats suppos eto help you loose, but in the end  I lost ten Id put 15 back on . So I finally decided to go talk to a doctor on post About the surgery and  She said because of my health issues I fit the catogry to be considered for the Gastric Bypass . And she sent me down for blood work and an EKG and put in my referral to Dr Steely at gateway Hospital In Clarksville TN. I heard through message board that I needed a mental health Evaluation and a sleep study .so I Just had those done Monday .The mental eval went well .the sleep study not so good I could not sleep. So I guess ill wait and see what The doc says to do about that. I have my seminar May 21 2007 and then Ill set up an apt with Dr Steely from there .
