I got a surgery date!!!!!  BCBS approved my surgery last week.  I scheduled my surgery today.  My doctor's office offered July 28th but, I want to be at work for rent week.  So, my surgery date is August 10, 2010.   I am nervous but so excited and ready.  I walked 2.5 miles tonight but I think I will hit the gym tomorrow night.  I want to be in better shape before I get the surgery.  
My dream is becoming a reality! 

I am so excited!  I met with my surgeon today and he said I am a great candidate for surgery.  I have to get the psych eval, go to the nutrtionist, have an endoscopy done and when they get my medical records, we can submit everything to BCBS for approval.  I have already called to make the psych appointment.  Can you tell that I am anxious?

My consultation is this Thursday and I can not wait!  I want to know what my obstacles are to get this done.  I hope I will have good news to report Thursday night.  I know I have to get a psych evaluation and get set up with a nutritionist but I would really like to know what else I need to do.

A friend of mine told me that she has to lose weight before they will schedule her surgery.  Is this common?  I will do whatever they ask, I just want to know what it is I have to do!

This may seem a little weird, but I am so anxious!  I want May 10th and May 27th to be here already!  I am trying to find out all I can before May 10th.  I know that I will be well informed after the seminar but I want a good knowledge base prior to going in. 

I am really struggling between lap band or RNY.  After spending time in the chat room last night and talking with somebody that had the RNY I am still not sure.  On one hand I don't want something that can slip and have to be removed (lap band.)  On the other hand, I don't want my body to not be absorbing vitamins and eventually expand. 

I just wish I could be speaking with the Dr. and making plans for this surgery!!!

I scheduled my seminar attendance and consultation this week.  I am going May 10th to the seminar and May 27th for the consult.  
I simply can not imagine myself NOT fat!  I have been overweight my entire life.  This is, by far, the heaviest I have ever been.  I am having trouble with my back, sleeping and just walking.  It is time to take action.  
I am scared but oddly enough ready.  I am already trying to eat carnation instant breakfast to get used to a liquid diet.  I am ready to lose the weight.  It is controlling my life and I want control back!
