"Dr. Lauter was my second surgeon; I had my lap band with Dr. Alperovich at Vally Medical Center, and 3 weeks later, VMC closed their bariatric center. Although I had no problems with Dr. Alperovich, I made the decision to find a new surgeon, as it took several months for Dr. Alperovich to get re-established, and I didn't want to wait around. I found Dr. Lauter, and I am very happy that I did. Some local surgeons would not see me because someone else had performed by band surgery, but Dr. Lauter was happy to see me. rnrnWhen I met Dr. Lauter, I immediately liked him. I find him easy to talk to, and he answered all of my questions. Dr. Lauter was supportive, and when I told him I wanted to start the insurance approval process, he was very prompt in getting the paperwork in. He assured me that he would help with the appeal if it came down to that, but it wasn't necessary, as I was approved on the first try. rnrnI had always feared the more invasive RNY surgery. After meeting Dr. Lauter and having him repair my slipped band, I had complete faith in his skill as a surgeon, and I trusted him completely. My revision to RNY was uneventful, and I am feeling great.
