1 month out and on vacation to Mexico!

Jun 27, 2010

So I got here in Mexico a week ago today and its been sort of a struggle. I came here with my sister in law and her kids along with my mother in Law, leaving my poor husband to fend or himself. We Skype everyday and so far his cooking hasn't killed him or burned down the house so I assume he'll make it just one more week.
As for me - I've been exercising and downing the water like crazy!!! I walk down this hill by our house every morning but once. And let me tell you about this hill.. its the kinda kill that if your car is not up to par (which alot of them aren't over here) or your not driving fast enough your liable to start rolling back down! So I practically run down this hill then walk a good mile or so then start heading back toward that horrendous hill!!!! I pant my way up it and thankfully our house is right at the top.
Most days we go to the beach and swim. That seems to be quite a work out jumping in and out, fighting the waves. And sometimes when I am just bored or missing my man I go down to the water and just take a nice long walk. I walk until it feels almost impossible to walk in that sand any longer, knowing that I can't just quit, i have to walk back. then turn around and slowly walk back.
As for food it has been rough. I've been going to Mexico once or twice each year, I know all the good taco places and when and where to find the good torta trucks parked  for the workers that will be going on break. This part is hell!!! I've tried some cheese in a tortilla and if I am very careful it doesn't come back up. As for anything else I can not keep it down. I live off my flavorless protein powder in my instant oatmeal's I brought, along with some peanuts, almonds, and the 4 boxed of protein bars I brought with me. There's this taco here that we can not find anywhere else and I tried it I was full less than half way through and just ended up throwing up what I did get down. So yesterday I went a head and bought 3 of those bad boys, took em to my bedroom and did the ole anorexic chew and spit technique. I know its bad but I was throwing up everything anyways. I was tired of puking my guts out I might as well enjoys my favorite tacos while I'm here, at least this one time.
I haven't weighed myself this whole trip, I'm hoping for 30 lbs although I know that would be unrealistic. I'm just hoping since I'm getting so much exercise and also the whole throwing up thing. Well wish me luck!!!! If I did loose 30 that would be 80 lbs since my highest weight 2 months pre op!!!!
