The surgery went "perfectly" according to MD. I on the other hand felt like I was hit by a truck! Owie! In the hospital I would say the pain was about a 6/10 they gave me lots of drugs, Dilaldid (sp?) was way too strong!!!! To think I used to like that feeling. Threw up a little bit, which freaked them all out and then I couldn't pee so I ended up having to stay the night. Felt better in the morning, home and on the couch to rest, sip, medicate, and sleep. I stayed on pain meds as long as I could reasonably justify them about 5 days. Everyday got better and better. Liquid phase started to get real old but I managed to make it , 2 week post op got a thumbs up from MD and on to mushies, beans never tasted so good. Lost a total of 8 lbs in two weeks, I'll take it. So far so good.

WOW! I just got back from the store I now have enough sugar free jello, pops, pudding, and yogurt to fill my fridge. I am starting to mourn the loss of food and diet pepsi but am also ready to let go. I have a couple of "last suppers" planned ( the good food addict I am) and am anxiously watching the clock. All I can say is it feels right to be where I am if that makes any sense and I feel ready to start this new journey.

Let's see i have been poked, prodded, XRayed, EKGed, educated on what to eat (and what NOT to eat), questioned, asked about my motives, and told all my close circle of friends about my upcoming surgery. 

I still have an pre-op educational class and of course both Doc and Hospital want thier checks ( I am self pay$$). 

All of these things are motivating me more and more each day. I am both excited and nervous! EEKKKKK!

Starting to tell my friends and support group about my decision and surgery date. I feel I need to keep it close right now, only 4 people so far. Alot of love and encouragement which is what I need right now. Trying to get things in order, appts, tests, work stuff to be done, aranging my dtr's schedule. Etc. I am excitied, nervous, and hopeful all at once.
