Just had my 2 year Surgery Anniversary

Mar 22, 2010

Think it's time to post again!  I just passed my 2 year Surgery Anniversary on March 17th.
I'm holding my own now for over a year.  I'm 6 pounds below my Dr's goal weight for me...and I'm happy it.
I'm starting to worry about gaining my weight back.  I'm not eating like I should...and have found that
I can hold more food now than I could a year ago...and this worries me.  I still have the cravings for all the
foods that got me here in the first place.  I don't think that part will ever go away.  Grazing is a real problem
for me at this point.  I tend to want to have something to chew on a lot!  I don't like it and know that I've got
to start now and get back on track before I start regaining weight.

We just returned from a trip to Monterrey Old Mexico.  We took my younger sister Nyla to have gastric bypass.
She did great!!!  No complications at all...except for a few times....throwing up...she'll learn what she can and
can't eat.  We all have to try foods..and it doesn't take long to know what you can and can't handle.  I'm lucky...
I don't throw up...but wish I could! lol

My older sister had her surgery too...and has lost 174 pounds.  All three of us girls have been able to get the
surgery...and I'm so thankful that's it's turned our lives around.  Just being able to bend over, play in the floor with
the grandbabies, walk, etc...has made it all so worth while.  I would have the surgery angain in a heart beat.
