Finally!!! Under the 200 lb. mark!!!!

Mar 17, 2011

It's been 7 1/2 weeks now since surgery and I've lost 32 lbs. I went shopping today and bought 2 shirts and 2 jackets in a smaller size!!!   Oh what a feeling! I also went to my 2nd  support group meeting and  always get a lot of good information from that. I'm still having problems with eating fast--a life long bad habit, which causes some pain and over eating. Will have to work on that but am still thrilled with my progress and glad I had the surgery.

29 lbs. lost!

Mar 11, 2011

It's been almost 7 weeks since my surgery and I've lost 29 lbs.  I'm fitting into some of the smaller sizes in my closet and buying some clothes in a smaller size. This past week I went to my 1st Yoga class and also an aroebics class. I think if I can continue these classes I'll be able to stay on track. I've been doing pretty well. I've had a couple of times where I overate without realizing it and it came back up. I've learned to control that but  it's a matter of trial and error.  So far I have no regrets about the surgery and am happy about my progress.

First Post OP visit

Feb 02, 2011

Yesterday was my 1st post op visit to the doctor. I had my staples removed and felt so much better once they were out! I'm still itching like crazy but find that using Neosporin has helped. The best part of my visit was being weighed!  It's been 9 days since my gastric sleeve surgery and I've lost 13 lbs.! I was so excited! I would have never have  believed  it!  So far  everything is going well. Every day gets better and better!

My journey has begun! I'm on my way to a new healthy me!

Jan 30, 2011

Hi! I just had my gastric sleeve surgery 1 week ago. Overall, it was a good experience. I will be getting my staples removed this coming Wednesday and am looking forward to that! I've been itchy which I guess is a good sign of healing. So far I've been doing well with my eating. The 3rd day after surgery, being able to have a sugar free pudding never tasted so good after being on clear liquids for  4 days.
Now it's 4 weeks of sf pudding, cream soups, sf popsicles, small curd cottage cheese and protein shakes. To my surprise, I really do like the protein shakes. You have to have 60 to 80 gms of protein  a day and the protein shakes are the only way to do it.  I am so inspired by reading the experiences of others and seeing their results that I have just been on such an emotional high that  I'm so excited about my new journey!
