JULY: Birthdays, Anniversaries & Celebrations!

So July is a super busy month for me. We have celebrations throughout the month, starting with none other than me! We kicked off the month with a bang celebrating my birthday on July 4th, yes Independence Day! Hubby decided he would take me out dancing on the Saturday before so that we could spend Sunday & Monday with the family! We had such a blast! I could tell he was beaming with pride having me on his arm. It's been many years since I have felt like his "trophy" wife! He gave me compliments over & over all night long! We barely left the dance floor! A year ago, I wouldn't even have left the chair!My Soulie, DeniseATL met us there with her guy. I really felt uber-excited for both of us. Her surgiversary is on July 6th, so we had much to celebrate and to be grateful for. On Sunday & Monday, hubby and I took the kiddies to see fireworks. On Monday, my brother gave me an impromptu birthday celebration at his place of business. The best part of my birthday was receiving a gift from my 15yo son who is now working. It really warmed my heart. He gave me a bottle of perfume and he paid for me to get my nose re-pierced. He insisted and felt that I needed to get it back because it would compliment my "new" look! How sweet of him!
Following my birthday is my son's birthday on July 6th! He turned 7! We had a family celebration at my Mom & Dad's house on the day of his birthday and then we gave him a Birthday Pool Party on July 9th. It was a huge success and many of his friends came to help him celebrate! He really enjoyed his Pool Party!
This week on July 12th, hubby and I celebrated our 8th Wedding Anniversary! He took me out on Sunday for a nice quiet dinner and then we took a drive and parked and took a nice long walk, something I would have never wanted to do at almost 300lbs! Life has definitely improved for the better!
We end the month of celebrations with my daughter's birthday on July 17th! She will be turning 14yo. We'll have a quiet family celebration for her this weekend and next weekend she is going to have a few girlfriends come over on Friday, July 22nd and they'll have a day of pampering and on Saturday, July 23rd she'll have her actual birthday party!
Unfortunately the summer is just about over my babies. They go back to school on August 4th. (they've been out since May) I have a wonderful summer in this new body with my children and my husband. It feels so good to be able to put on clothes and actually feel amazing! It also feels good to be able to just get up and go without hurting!!! I have enjoyed this summer with my family and I look forward to many more...continuing in a healthy state of mind and body...
