10 Months Out

Oct 05, 2011

Tomorrow is my 10 month Surgiversary. Happy Surgiversary to me!!! I have an official weight loss of 130lbs. For the entire month of September, I only lost 4lbs! I have to step up my exercising because I haven't been eating different or anything I shouldn't be...sometimes...I have my days. But for the most part, I have stayed on track. The weight is just coming off slower but I am still happy and very grateful.

My surgeon, Dr. Chasen, left and went to Maui! I am so devastated. He left at the end of August and I never even received a call from the office. I know a few people who used the same surgeon. You think they would have given me the heads up! Oh well, that's what I get for thinking! Anyway I meet the doctor who is taking his place on Monday. As if any other surgeon could take Dr. Chasen's place...picture that! He was the best, simply stated. Period. Good thing hubby will be home that day so he will be going with me to meet the new doc.

My days, weeks and weekends have been packed full to the brim. I volunteer at my children's elementary school and I am also very involved with our High School Marching Band that my son is in. I am a chaperone as well as an Executive Board member...fancy shmancy...lol. Glorified title for parents who do everything to keep the band operating smoothing. It involves everything from making sure the kids are fed before games, fundraisers to uniforms and many other tasks in between. On Friday, we will play in our weekly game. On Saturday, we will head out at 3am to South Carolina State University's Homecoming. Our marching band, The Sound Factory, was invited to perform for the homecoming! We will return that night. On Sunday, we will be at the Georgia Dome working in one of the concession booths to raise funds for our band students. For Friday, I'm also making cookies for the entire band & band staff, which is about 130+ people! In between all of that, I'll have to finish packing up my youngest 2 and hand then over to my Mom & Dad at the game. They will be staying with their grandparents for the weekend. Thank God for grandparents! My oldest daughter will be at a sleepover with her friend. Hubby will accompany me and work the Georgia Dome with me. Thank God for good, reliable and loving husbands! Of course my oldest son will be with us because he is the one in the Sound Factory! It's going to be a busy weekend! I am loving every minute of what I am doing especially in my new body! I would never have done any of this at 283lbs! No way! Thank you DS, I LOVE YOU!!!

**I am currently 153lbs, wearing, in pants, a size 12 (fits loosely) and sliding right into a size 10!!! In dresses, I wear Medium and size 10s, 8s and some 6s! In tops, I wear Small, Medium, 8s and 10s! My shoe size is 6-61/2.**
