Hi my name is Pam,
I am at the beggining of my weight loss journey, As in I haven't had it yet..lol
I am hoping for an approval soon from my insurance. I was pretty thin growing up and even into my 20's. I had two children by the time I was 19 and still afterward I weighed only 110-115 lbs. When I was 28 I got pregnant with my 3rd child. I gained over 80 lbs. Ten days after he was born my dad passed away. I remember going to the store to shop for a dress and when I couldn't find anything to fit me even in a size 12/14 I was devasted. I think I weighed 156 lbs or something like that. So I wound up wearing one of my maternity dresses. I made up my mind to lose the weight , so my sister and I both went to Dr, Spirtos. He had a weight loss program that even the stars went to . (In California)  It was not a healthy way to lose weight. He gave us  a thyroid pill, an appetite suppressant, a water pill, and we got weekly shots of HCG. ( the hormone forund in pregnant womens urine). Well I lost all the weight back down to 111 lbs. But when you go off a diet like that you must kind of wean yourself off of the pills gradually. I didn't. I moved to Georgia where that kind of diet wasn't availabe. I gained all the weight back and then some, steadily over the next 2 years or so.. I tried several diets in between but got right up to 200 lbs! I'm just 5'2" so thats really alot. and especially to me having been so little before. About 9 years ago I went to work in a carpet mill on 3rd shift. I worked 12 hour shifts. I only ate once a day because once you were in the mill it was just too hot to eat. So I lost alot of weight.. 80 lbs! Well I transferred to day shift and because I was eating more , I gained little by little. I tried diet after diet but now I am right back where I was and a few more lbs. I qiut smoking ang gained about 20lbs too.. I have hypertension, arthritis in my back, feet, and hands. I have alot of joint pain, and osteoperosis to boot!. Needless to say I am a wreck. I have a job that requires me to be on my feet all day, so by  the time I get off work I can barely climb the steps to my front door. I not only want the surgey to look better, I NEED it to FEEL better. So now I just pray and wait for an approval..To Be Continued.. I hope
