"I found the facilities to be exceptional, but more importantly the staff was all phenomenal with one glaring exception. There was one radiology technician who was less than gentle when setting me up for an x-ray, and he pushed down on my main incision site which caused me a great deal of pain and discomfort. I found this to be an isolated occurance however, and all of the other people on the surgical floor and the nursing staff were outstanding! I could not have imagined receiving better treatment from my nurses during my stay at the hospital. I was checked on at very regularly scheduled intervals, and everything that was done was done with care. While I obviously don't have any plans or desire to check into another hospital any time soon, I would feel very comfortable going to UCI Medical Center for any future hospitalizations, and would know I could expect a great level of care."
"From the first consultation I have had nothing but positive interactions with Dr. Reavis and his entire staff. Everything has been so clearly explained, and I've felt extremely well prepared every step of the way. Everything has gone exactly as Dr. Reavis told me it would (or better). Dr. Reavis has a terrific bedside manner, and seems to be genuinely concerned with my well being as a person and a patient. He has been very patient and answered every question I've come up with and thrown his way. His team has been every bit as fantastic and supportive, from his supporting surgeons, his program coordinator, his nutritionist, everyone. The entire staff of the bariatric unit at UCI has been awesome and has not only met all of my expectations, but has exceeded them.rnrnDr. Reavis took the time to explain and address all of the risks of surgery beforehand, and was most concerned with doing what would be best for my health in both the short and long term.
