Today is my first surgi-versary! I have lost  128 1/2 pounds!  I can't believe that I have lost that much.I can't even remember the last time that I have weighed this. Maybe when I was in elementary school.

I worry about being slow with the weight loss,but my doctor says that I am doing great. Different people lose weight at different amounts.

I just have to accept how things are working out for me.I'm not totally healthy yet but I am much healthier weight wise.

Now is the time for me to re-evaluate what I'm doing so that I can continue to lose more and reach my goal weight.

I guess it's one day at a time.

I had my 8 1/2 month checkup with my surgeon today and I have lost 104.5 lbs! I can't believe it! I have never lost that much weight  in my whole life.The only complaint that they had with me is that I don't drink enough fluids.

1. it will help flush out my kidneys so that maybe i can get rid of my kidney stones.
2.It will help so that I don't have to take stool softeners all the time.
3.May also help me move around better.My legs and muscles won't be as stiff if I lubricate them with fluids.

So if you have any problems like I do,Drink! Drink! Drink!

I can't believe that it's been almost 7 1/2 months since my surgery.I had to go through alot to get here.

First applied in April 2007.Saw the doctor for my psych eval.pretty quick.Approved for surgery  from insurance company
shortly there after.
 Waited 4 months for doctor's approval.Found out that my  primary doctor lost my paperwork Finally got that fixed,got the approval from my surgeon.
Found out that I could'nt get final approval from my primary until I had a stress test.Cancel number one of my surgery.
Had my stress test,heart doctor says heart maybe bad,sent for angiogram.
Had angiogram,everything turns out o.k.
Re-approved to go ahead with surgery.
In the hospital for surgery in April 2008,already out in the operating room.find out doctor couldn't do surgery because he found two large masses in my stomach.Cancel number two of my surgery.
See doctor about masses in my stomach.Turn out to be huge cysts on my overies.Scheduled for removal of my overies.
Overies taken out in May 2008.Luckily no cancer!
Given the o.k. to persue surgery in July 2008.
Approved for the third time!
Finally on September 5,2008,I have my surgery! Things are going good right now.I'm a little slower in losing weight then some people,but all of my doctors say that I'm doing great.I have lost 92lbs.in 7 1/2 months.
For anyone who has had the surgery,or is thinking about it,don't give up on your dream! things may go wrong,but everything seems to work out in the end.
