Ok, well very new to this web site, and to be honest I don't get a chance to get online very often. But I heard alot about this site and have already learned alot from it, in just a few hours. So, here is my story....My name is Erin, I am 30 years old and last winter I was 346lbs and very very miserable! I have struggled with my weight all of my life, I have watched my all of the women in my life fight the battle as well and most of them now have just given up. I watched my grandmother hang on to the table, the counter, anything she could get her hands on because the pain from standing up was almost more then she could bear. I am now watching my mother do almost the same thing. I do not want to live my life in constant pain like that! I have a lot of pain in my legs, knees, and back now. I can only imagine how it will feel in a couple of years. I want to have the surgery now while I can still have a life. I am 30 years old and to be honest I really have no life i go back and forth to work, and thats about it. Last winter I desiced that I had had enough, I looked into the surgery, but I thought I owed it to myself to give it one more try to do it the "old fashion" way. Was not ready for such restrictions in my life. Well I did pretty well I lost 77lbs in a little less then a year. I then spent about 3 month on a platue, then i spent the last almost 6 months gaining 20lbs over the winter months. Got back into the rut of "I DON'T CARE ANYMORE". Well finally the new clothes I was so proud to fit into, I couldn't get into anymore. I had thrown out a lot of my 4 and 5 x's to give me motivation to never go back there again. Well it did work, I am not going to buy more new clothes that size ever again!!!! SO I have descided that I deserve this chance to have a pain free and healthly life. I started the initial class at the end of march, i am getting all of the dr's approvals, sleep studys, and psy oks and will go from there.
