"Dr. Westmoreland is an amazing surgeon and cares a lot about your success. His nutritionists Heather and Susan are personable and helpful.
I cannot say the same things about his office staff. They cannot relay a simple message, they tell you people are at lunch when they're on vacation so you wait all afternoon for a return call you'll never get, and they try to charge you for things you shouldn't be charged for.
Some of his nurses are just as bad. They cannot operate the automatic blood pressure cuff and inflict you with several minutes of pain with it before giving up and not even getting a reading. Then when you ask them to check your blood pressure manually, they say the cuff is broken. This has happened at more than one appointment. Wouldn't you think a bariatric office would find your current blood pressure to be important?
The gleaming examples in his staff are really the hospital's staff (MTMC). Anne Marie (the bariatric program coordinator) and Shavon (the bariatric insurance specialist) really know their stuff and are incredibly supportive during your process.
I wish I could give Dr. Westmoreland 5 stars and give his office 1 star."
