Peter (hubby) started optifast today ..and update on me !

Hello again ...long time no see . I am 10 and a half months out now ..and not doing too well on the losing side grr .Christmas and my hubbies "Last Supper" syndrome did a number on me and I gained a horrible 6 pounds over Christmas . Argghh ..what was I thinking ! I know I eat with my nerves ( thats how I got soo big in the first place ) and his approaching surgery has me very anxious . I am almost more worried about his surgery than I was for my own . I have joined him in far too many Last suppers ..and all those Christmas treats that found their way into the house .Shakes head . However ....I have lost 3 of the gained 6 pounds and am sitting at 75 pounds down at the moment ..and am detirmined to get the weight rolling off again now that Peter has started Optifast today . I am back on a protein shake a day ..loading on water ..and high protein ..very very few carbs ( and only good veggie ones at that ) I am almost glad that he cant eat food now ..its a blessing for me .
He is grouchy ..but sticking to it ..I have broth and sugar free gum and drinks at the ready to help him .His RNY is at Humber with Dr Klein on the 27th jan at 11am .
I have booked 3 nights at the Holiday Inn across the road from the hospital and will spend most of the time with him ..but am looking forwards to seeing my OH girl friends on the Thursday for dinner . I will be SOOOO glad when he is all done and home safely ..and we can get going on this new healthier lifestyle together .
I still weigh every morning ..and am down another 6 inches in Dec ..despite gaining ..not sure how that works but I'll take it ! I am down over 70 inches in total ..and easily fitting in to a size 12 now . My hair is still thick and healthy ..and my bloods healthy too.
I am only 35 pounds from my goal weight ..I can do this !! Still keeping up with the Belville and Peterborough support groups . We hosted the Peterborough Christmas party and it was a big success . I love seeing all my OH friends ..they have been my saving grace over and over again ..thanks guys !
Onward ho ..talk to you again before Peters surgery ...I hope I will be losing nicely again by then .
