Well I am about 3 1/2 months a looser. My pre surgery weight was 284 and now I am 232. I am very happy with the whole thing. I did not get sick, dump or get foamies so far. I threw up one time about a week ago but think it was a combo of eating to fast and nerves from work. Felt fine afterwards. Getting the protein in was a trial but I finally found a protein powder I like (Maximum Protein) from GNC. I take Centrum Silver..B-comples...Calcium citrate..Biotin...and Nexium.  I also take 2 stool softeners a day.  My mobility has greatly improved.  More energy and the best thing is ......all my clothes are getting to big.  My highest weight was 334 but I lost some weight on Weight Watchers  before looking into the surgery.  I highly recomend this surgery to anyone thinking about it. It is work and you have to follow the instuctions given my surgon  to be safe and successful. It will change your life. Just read and know what will happen to you to cut down on supprises.  Do your research.

My wls went fine(Dec 13 2007) ..was done part lap and part open.   The incision was only about 5 inches long.  I only stayed at the hospital 2 nights. Made it through the liquid (2 weeks) and now I am on puree. First week I was pretty sore but quickly worked that out.
Friday 1-11 is my 4 week check up. I am happy to have the surgery am very hopeful to be a success. So far I have had no complications but I try to follow the plan closely. I do have trouble getting the fluid in. Not enough hours in the day. I sleep good and get up good in the mornings. The first week I got tired pretty quick but now I have enough energy.
