April, your day is almost here. The butterflies are completely normal. Remain focused on your reasons for choosing surgery and keep your eye upon the health and mobility your will regain. While packing for the hospital, remember to bring lip gloss (life saving balm). Such a small price for such a big help. And if by chance you find you don't need it, you are not out much money or space in your suitcase! :-D Take the advice of Dr I to heart, he is a phenominal surgeon. The days coming will be filled with walking, sipping, breathing (the machine thingy stinks - but it beats the alternative), start all over again. You may find your mind becomes total mush and everything you have learned over the course of your journey is lost or you simply find it hard to put it all in practice. If this should happen, remember your message board ... throw out the questions there ... someone will be sure to help you trudge through those first hours, days, weeks, months and for some of us ... years!!! :-D Take good care of yourself, and know that you have many who are pulling for you and praying for you. Take excellent care of yourself! Tammy
