Here I am AGAIN! I am now seeking DS... I have had the lap band for three years now, and have only lost 36 lbs.. Now during this time, I broke my leg had surgery to repair that, both tib and fib and screws put in, But kept walking with boot on !! Then when they could not access the port for 7 months, finally said they had to replace it, ( no one told me about DS then or would have found someone to do it then) I had a port revision and placed on my sternum. so I look like I have a mini boob...lol , then 8 months later I ended up with back surgery, laminectomy, foraminectomy and discectomy, but went back to work at 3 months post. still doing water therapy for that, THEN.... since I did so good with protein, My gallbladder went on the blitz this last Dec 17the, 08... sooo that came out.
Now feeling body has been on blitz for a while, got hungry again and after several trips to have band checked it is loosing saline.. will need another surgery. Well I just want this out and do something else!! Have researched for several months and now have many things done for insurance. Since it is a different ins have to jump their hoops.
This is the only thing I have done for me. As a single mom, Mu mom was a severe diabetic asthma, and as I have grown older these are cropping up. Along with joint pain weight, beginnings of sleep apnea. If I have to do another, want it to be the last.
As a single mom of two, I almost got to a emptynester, then oldest had a third child with severe medical needs, Normal in development but faces many years of cranial facial surgeries. She has Treacher Collins Syndrome, Was told it was spontaneous, no gene found in our family, one in 75,000. low and behold, their 4th one had it. not as bad but will face almost same amount of surgeries. These are wonderful kids,,along with two normal older brothers, and soooo much fun, but it is financially taxing,, so moved them all in and I help support them. It is one of the best things I could have done, we have sooo much fun and love here .
But the one thing I refuse to give up on is me.... I even made my will out so if I do not make a good comeback,,, at least they will get the house!!l lol... I don't regret any thing I have done for family, as a mom we just do... but I don't think they really understand how important this is to me... I get the love you as you are routine all the time.. But it is, I am lonely, want to do more things , LIVE LIFE not pass it by. it is a mission for me.
Though being the best cat lady I am, don't want to be the ONLY cat lady there is!!
