Well, the day is almost here (unless some other natural disaster happens).
Feeling pretty good about it and not too nervous either. I talked to my NP today and reminded her that I requested to have a low profile port put in... guess I won't know if they really did it until a year or so down the road
I don't think I've lost too much more weight since I started the pre-op diet over a week ago. Down 8 lbs since then, so I can't complain too much.
Today I've been SUPER hungry and I had to make a few rounds around Barnes & Noble to keep myself from eating lunch, but I made it throught with just a protein bar.
I think I might go to dinner with a friend tonight and have a salad. Yeah, that's just what I'm gonna do the night before my life changes for good :-)

I'm all ready for my big day today... worked REALLY hard at work yesterday so that everything's done while I'm gone, cleaned my house, did all the laundry, my mom took the day off work to take me to the surgery center and bring me home...... and then I get a call from the surgery center this morning telling me that they have canceled all the surgery for that day because the power is out to the whole area from a HUGE thunderstorm we had last night..... CRAP!!!
All this work for nothing? Slept really good last night despite the storm, woke up early this morning all refreshed and ready to start my new life and now what???
I'll tell you what, I'm sitting here at WORK, drinking my STUPID protein shake, wallowing in self pity, that's what!
THIS SUCKS!
Good news is that my NP just called and rescheduled my surgery for Saturday morning.... I guess I'll have to wait a couple more days, but at least it's not 2 weeks or something like that
....YAY!

So I saw the doctor for my pre-op visit and the good news is I've lost 8 pounds since starting the pre-op diet on Wednesday the 6th. That's 8 pounds in less than a week
All water I'm sure, but still exciting!!!
I also requested a low profile port so I don't have to have mine changed out after I loose the weight and he said he could do that. YAY!
I've met some new friends that are having their surgery the same day I am, I'm super excited to have pple I can talk to while we all go though the changes. Thanks you guys for contacting me
And Eileen is now my insperation for sure. Check out her profile and pics OMG she looks GREAT!! I wanna look just like her when I'm done! Thanks Eileen!

After a few years of trying to come up with the money to finally have WLS, my WONDERFUL family has offered to loan it to me and I have a date for surgery on August 14, 2008.
Everything happened SO FAST I feel like my head is spinning, but I'm taking it all in stride and so excited to finally GET OUT OF THIS BODY!!!
