Well I am 39 year young single parent with a 14 & 4 year old at home with me . My weight was quite normal up until 2000 where it started blowing out to where I'm at now 151 KG's . I needed to change my lifestyle as my boys both surf and I want to be with them . Now that my sleeve has been successful I will be able to surf , play golf , ride my motorbike and do all the activities of a normal weighted person . Wooohoooo bring it on !!!
13/12/07 - Operation day - very nervous . All went very well . 4 hour operation . Doctor was very happy .
18/12/07 - Back home and resting - Only had problems with wind pain . Very sharp bowel pain - That was fixed and there were no problems .Great to be home in a bed that I wont fall out of . Love my bed - slept for 5 hours when I got home .
20/12/07 - Week One aniversary - Feeling really good this morning , no pain - have lost 10kgs ( 22pounds) - slept 12 hours straight. Will take puppy for a walk today . I have made a great choice !!!
25/12/07 - Day 13 , Have seen the Dietician who is very happy with me - lost 17 kg's at this point . Santa has given me a great gift . Still having a bit of trouble sleeping .Today I will be starting the weetbix and the solids .
2/1/08 - Back at work today and felling pretty good . Haven't weighed in yet .
31/3/08 Weighing in at 112kgs - down from 151 kgs !!! Feeling great .
27/8/08 Weighing in at GOAL WEIGHT 100kgs !!!! 8 month stage - woohooo - I had to post today as I feel like I have achieved something unachievable today . I dreamed of being NORMAL WEIGHTED FOR SO LONG BUT HAD ALWAYS STRUGGLED ON GETTING THERE . Well now I am doing all this wonderful stuff with my kids like surfing , playing footy , realising my dream of becoming a sports Trainer for my Rugby Club , riding pushbikes , jogging along the beach BUT THE BEST THING is being able to sit on an aeroplane and be able to fold down the food tray without it sitting at a 45degree angle and having to hang on to everything ( that was really embarrasing along with getting the seatbelt extension ) .
The information and research material that I got from this forum was invaluable to me reaching my dream . Without this forum I would not have known what to expect and the pitfalls along the way . You are a fantastic group of people and I thank you one & all for helping save my life !!!!
The next step is my 12 month surgiversary with my Surgeon , so I really need to pump the weights as I want a bare breasted photo sitting next to my surgeon !!!!
