B: Coffee
     Half and Half
     Sugar
     Low Fat Danish
L: Grilled Chicken Wrap
S: 3 Bite Sized Resses Penut Butter Cups
D: Salad
     4oz Tuna

I walked in the freezing cold for 90 minutes tonight with my hubby! It felt really good but now I'm in a lot of pain.
I have heard of a website that you can plug in your address and how many miles you want to walk and it plans a route for you. If anyone knows the link for this website please pass it long. I walked for soo long tonight because I got lost. I just moved and don't really know my way around fully. I really over did it tonight. By the end of the walk I had to stop every few minutes because my knees were killing me. I will get there.

I am under 350 again!!! Yay!!! This is a huge acomplishment for me!!! I lost 4.4 lbs this week mostly because i was pretty much on a liquid diet. Everything solid I eat hurts my throat. So sad...

But I am mighty happy about this weight loss!!!!

10 Healthy Foods That Will Make You Fat

Jan 10, 2009

This month, C. W. Randolph Jr., M.D., Diet.com expert and co-author of From Belly Fat to Belly Flat, writes about common misconceptions about diet-friendly foods.

Most dieters mistake the following food choices as great to eat while dieting. Unfortunately, they are loaded with fats, preservatives and hidden calories... all big saboteurs of a slimmer belly, thighs or rear.

1. Diet soda
Soda is never good for you, but diet sodas create more insulin in your body, which means more sugar. Diet soda also inhibits the hormone leptin, which regulates your metabolism and appetite. Try a glass of water with your meal instead.

2. Pretzels
You may think they're better than potato chips, but they're made with enriched white flour and loaded with carbohydrates, a big diet no-no.

3. Fruit juices
These can contain high amounts of sugar. And depending on the brand, some may only have 5 percent natural fruit juice. Eat your fruits rather than drink them. Two servings of citrus a day provides your body with D-Limonene, which has been shown to promote the detoxification of estrogen.

4. Salad kits
Salad dressings can add hundreds of calories and more fat than you need to consume in one day. Lighter varieties are better.

5. Reduced-fat peanut butter
A reduced-fat version seems like a great idea, but the fat that is removed is replaced with fillers, with no reduction in calories. Using a bit less of the full-fat version is the healthiest choice.

6. Poultry hot dogs
All hot dogs include skin and fat, even those made from poultry. Try a low-fat or fat-free dog as a lower-calorie alternative for your cookouts.

7. Cereal bars
You can find plenty of cereal bars that are low in fat and calories, but you have to look. Many are high in sugar and saturated fat. Make sure to read the labels to avoid starting your morning with an addition to your belly!

8. Frozen yogurt
Frozen yogurt contains added sugar, which translates to extra calories. Look for the low-fat labels and indulge sparingly.

9. Rice cakes
These crispy treats can cause your blood sugar to spike, which in turn causes your body to store unwanted fat by slowing down its ability to burn it off. And beware of flavored rice cakes: They're loaded with sodium.

10. Granola
All those wonderful healthy things added together must be good for you, right? Wrong. Granola contains about 350 calories and 12 grams of fat per 3/4 cup — plus a ton of sugar. Low-fat or low-sugar granolas make for a better snack.

Major NSV for me!

Jan 09, 2009

Today I went to the Dr. because as I stated below I have been sick as a dog.
Because im 23 I have decided it's time to stop seeing my pediatrition. So this was my first time at the new Doc.
I was filling out the new patient form and there were two questions.

Recent Wight Gain
Recent Weight Loss

Today was the first time in my life I couldn't say yes to the recent weight gain and I couldnt say no to the recent weight loss. It felt soooo good! What motivation it gave me!!

Just wanted to share!

Happy New Year...

Jan 09, 2009

Sorry its been 10 days since I posted. A few things have happened. For those of you who really know me... New Years Eve is a very hard time for me. A lot of personal stuff that I cant seem to get over. Thank G-d for my best friend. Marisa really saved me this year! I am so lucky to have her in my life even though I don't always do right by her.

The truth is I'm jealous... She just had a beautiful baby girl. My neice Yehudis. I can't even be happy for her because I'm so jealous of what I don't have. What is wrong with me!

I am so glad New Years is over. I am so glad I got to see Marisa. She is the only one who really gets me.

Well, after my fabulous loss of 6.2lbs in one week at WW, I gained back 0.2lbs. Not the end of the world. I over indulged a bit. Then I had a really bad week and totally over slept WW this past Sunday. Well Monday came and I got really sick! 103+ fever had me in the hospital Monday night and part of Tuesday. I have been sick ever sick...

Bad News:
My throught is killing me.
My head is pounding
I can't sleep more than 2 hours straight at all

Good News:
I havent had a smoke in 5 days
I lost 4 lbs

I wont even bother posting food journals because all I can eat is Green tea, WW toast with Grape Jelly, and Ice cream. Anything really hot or really cold to umb my throat bc its killing me!

Well I am going to try for another 2 hours of sleep. Be back soon.
Good night fellow OHers!!

Woops... Missing food jounrals

Dec 30, 2008

Well since my last post it has been holiday parties up the mountain! Needless to say my eating has not been the best!
But It was not bad either. I went to weight watchers Sunday and gained .2lbs. I will take my 2/10 of a pound and be happy because I was not so good this week. So here come a better week.

Sunday
B = 2 egg whites
       1 slice of cheese
       2 strips of soy bacon
       1 scooped out everything bagel (only ate half)

L = Skipped
D = 5 boneless buffalo wings
       1/4 chicken quesadea
       1/2 of a hamburger

Wow.. I cant wait for my fill!!!!!!! This is absolute insanity!!! I should not even be able to eat that much.

Monday
B = Protein shake
S = 3tbs of peanut butter
L = 2 packets of weight control oatmeal
S = 60 Cal Yogurt
D = Grilled Chicken and Farfel

OK so yesterday was better. Could have done without all of that peanut butter though. At least I'm honest with myself about it. Today will be a better day. Let me go start it of right with a yummy protein shake.... My girl Carla is coming over to help me paint my apartment. My excessive for the day... If I don't post again til after new years eve... Have a happy and healthy new year! May the new year bring you all blessings and success in all of your endeavors.

Monday Food Journal

Dec 22, 2008

B = Protein Shake with 2% Milk, 1tbs Penut butter

S = String Cheese (2%)

L = Grilled Chicken with Salsa and low fat Chedar Cheese in a small Whole Wheat Wrap

S = Small Salad with 1tbs Fat Free Ranch and Grilled Chicken

D = 3/4 can of Tuna fish with 1tbs regular mayo on 2 slices of 60 claorie bread.

All in all not too shabby... Some things I just can not give up like regular mayo and sugar in my coffee. I dont like low fat or lite mayo its aweful. I also just can not put splenda or low fat milk in my coffee.So if I have regular milk or a lil half and half and 3 sugars in my coffee a few times a week i think im doing ok. m
