Lisa B.
This by no means is my whole story; Only the beginning, as my journey has only begun. I'm 31 years old as of today's writing. I am currently 296 pounds and working my way through the surgery process. I didn't start out overweight, not by a long shot. Growing up I was always thin, active in sports, dance and running with my friends. I had my first child at 16 and the weight began packing on then. I just never could get it back off. Over the past 15 years with each child ( I now have 4 amazing kids) I also got heavier and heavier.
Three years ago I began doing some research on WLS after meeting a woman that had had it done and not only looked amazing but was active and so happy. I ended up taking a job that would not cover the surgery which put things on hold for awhile.
I am now working for a company who's insurance does cover the cost so again the journey begins.
