Two and 1/2 Months out!

Jan 28, 2007

Well, here I am at  2 1/2 months out from WLS and I'm down 40 lbs!!!! I can't believe the weight came off that fast. As we all know, if I had been dieting, I'd have been extremely lucky to lose even 10 lbs. in that time. This surgery was definitely a lifesaver! I've colored my hair back to my natural shade (auburn) as my daughter has been on my case that I'm too young to let myself go gray. I'll try to get some new pics posted so you can see the "new" me.

There are times when I get overwhelmed with it all. I had really adjusted to having my "life" put on hold because of the rheumatoid arthritis and weight gain. I thought I'd be lucky to live to 60. Now I have great energy levels and I'm considering trying to go back to work part-time. What a change physically and mentally!

This forum and support group is the best!

Well, it's been one month since my surgery on Nov 17th and I've lost a total of 28 lbs. so far. I can't even describe how much better I feel already. I can bend down and tie my shoes without getting out of breath and I can walk and walk and walk. My daughter tells me I lost a lot in my face...needed too lol. I'm on pureed soft diet now. Next appointment is on Dec 28th and then if all goes well, I should be put on a regular diet.
