Hello! Gina had her Lap RNY today at 11:30. I just received a message from Gina's husband Donnie. He said that everything went well and she is in recovery. The surgery went as expected! Welcome to the LOOSing side Gina! I love ya! I'm so excited for you!! Megen

Hey, I have seen several places that you should bring chapstick to the hospital. It seems that the tube and meds make you have really dry, chapped lips. You want to be as comfortable as possible so throw some in your bag before you leave. I know I would be bouncing off the walls if I were you!!!! Good luck and God bless you and keep you safe. Brook

Thank you so much for your email. I wish you luck on your surgery. I am still going through testing for my final approval, but hopefully I will have my date soon. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. Let me know how things go for you. Funny the day of your surgery is the day I have the lasts of my tests for final approval.

It's me again! I'm so happy and excited for you to begin your "new life" on the looosing side. I would like to be your angel and be there for you to support you in any way I can. I will definitely keep you in my prayers, but I know you will do fine! If you have any questions or concerns at all please call me even if it's 3am. A lot of times people don't understand what you're going through or how you feel when you have this surgery. It's hard to explain to them what it feels like when you have "head hunger" or the "foamies". Even though I'm still fairly new on this journey myself, I will do my best to help you in any way I can! We will be looking HOT next summer! And, we will definitely have to go shopping for a new wardrobe together! Love ya, Megen

You are about to embark on the most amazing transformation of you mind, body and soul. Your big day is almost here, this is the day, your new life will begin, I cant promise it will be easy, cant say it will be hard, I can say that with all the complications and everything I had to go through, It was well worth it. I have never felt better in yearsss, I’m off all medications, have sooooo much more energy. So if you hit a bump in the road, hang in there and remember it will alll be worth it in the long run. Sending Prayers your way that the Lord will guide your surgeon’s hands. May the guardian angels wrap their loving arms of protection around you during your surgery and recovery . Congratulations sister-in-law!!!! I'm soooooo happy for you and excited for you to get started on your journey. It is a learning experience, but so far so good! I'm here for you always if you have any questions or concerns (even if it's the middle of the night). I know I had a lot of questions at the beginning, but a lot of it is trial and error. In about six months, we will need to go on a major shopping spree!!!! ; ) Love ya, Megen
