Regina~ Just remember you are on the journey of a lifetime. Try to enjoy every minute. It may sound weird now, but know that you are cared for and prayed for here, and all too soon this will be but a memory and you will be an inspiration to someone else. I am waiting for you on the losers' bench!

~~~~~~CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR UPCOMING SURGERY~~~~~~ (Everything in our lives happens for a purpose and that purpose is to prepare us) May God give you courage, strength and guidance throughout your new journey. You are about to embark on the most amazing transformation of you mind, body and soul. Your big day is almost here, this is the day, your new life will begin, I cant promise it will be easy, cant say it will be hard, I can say that with all the complications and everything I had to go through, It was well worth it. I have never felt better in yearsss, I’m off all medications, have sooooo much more energy. So if you hit a bump in the road, hang in there and remember it will alll be worth it in the long run. Sending Prayers your way that the Lord will guide your surgeon’s hands. May the guardian angels wrap their loving arms of protection around you during your surgery and recovery. Hi Regina I just received your message. I live in Fresno, but I never found a surgeon in Fresno that I felt comfortable with. I have decided to have surgery in Bakersfield because my family is there and it will be easier for them to care for me there and I found a surgeon that I am happy with. Who is your doc? I read your surgery page and it looks like I will be having surgery about two weeks after you. Feel free to pass on any information or tips about your surgery experience. It sounds like you and your roommate will have a great support system in each other. I will check back with you soon...I wish you good luck with your surgery. Melissa

9/29/06 Well it is not just under 7 wks until my surgery. I am trying to get everything in order. I have been remodeling 3 rooms in my home since April and am just now in the process of finishing the 3rd room. What a job. More than I thought it would be. However I am so ready for my surgery. My roommate had WLS on July 12th and she has now lost 70lbs. She still has trouble keeping food down and getting enough fluids in. I keep trying to encourage her that she is doing fine. We both just need to exercise more. That is a rough one when you work so much. Well thats all for now. I am going to be painting this weekend. Lots of fun.
