Let's start this off right...

Jul 14, 2014

I'm 4 weeks out and today was my first day with any real issues.  The first one was my fault.  I know I ate my breakfast too fast and spent the next hour or so feeling crappy.  At lunch I got the same reaction though I swear I was eating slowly and taking my time.  No issue at dinner except I got full much sooner than usual.  I guess I just had an off day.

Other than that I had a good day today.  I'm an accountant and therefor I sit all day.  I decided that I needed to start getting my exercise groove on!  Went swimming after work at the YMCA and really made myself exercise for at least 30 minutes.  Boy do my stomach muscles hurt now!  But it (hopefully) will get better each time I go.

The Y is doing a special at the moment on 1 hour sessions with a personal trainer and I bought 3 sessions.  Going to try it out and see if it works for me!

I'm going to try and do a post every day just so I can keep track of what the heck is going on.  I keep lists and lists in my head but putting my daily happenings down on (virtual) paper will help I think!

Oh I received a shipment of Torani sugar free syrups today and I can't wait to try them.  I ordered Caramel, Peppermint, and S'Mores!  Hopefully these will help my shakes!

Since I had my surgery on a Monday, I've made it my weigh-in day.  Though in all honesty I think I step on the scale everyday....I just only write down the Monday weight.  I'm in the all too famous 3 weeks stall but I'm still losing weight, just not as fast as the first two weeks.

284.6

Which is 19.8 pounds down from surgery day.  I don't know why but I feel disappointed in the weight loss.  I imagined it would be greater at first.  Silly me.

Today's menu:

  • B - Sugar-free popsicle (can't eat breakfast without one...it seems to help my stomach)
  • B - 4 Ham and Cheese egg bites = 12 protein (w/ probiotic, 2 multivitamins)
  • S - Chobani Plain 0% Greek Yogurt = 15 protein (calcium chewable)
  • L - Chicken Chili w/ Kidney beans = 19 protein (calcium chewable)
  • S - Chobani Pineapple 100 calorie = 12 protein (calcium chewable)
  • D - Morning Star Griller veggie pattie = 15 protein
  • Total protein = 73 protein

I want to try and get my protein intake up to 100 and also increase my water.  I feel like I am always eating and so it makes it hard to drink water.  Or I forget to drink while at work.  I get so focused and then the next thing you know an hour has passed of quality H2O time!
