Well today I had my pre op appointment. I don't have so much to post about having insurance filed because I am self pay. I am lucky to have parents who are helping me with this journey in my life. So I was really nervous about the pre op appt. But after being there and meeting the nutritionist and Denise, the nurse, Dr. Smith and Eric, the PA, I am totally confident about my decision to have the DS. My weight today was 259 and BMI 40.7. I will be having my surgery on November 1st. I am calling it the first day of my new life. Things I am looking forward to: 1. Clothes that don't have a "W" after the size. 2. Walking without my feet hurting. 3. Shopping in the "regular" stores. 4. Climbing steps without being ou of breath. 5. Traveling with my DD on band trips and not worrying that I can't keep up with everyone else. 6. Enjoying Exercise. 7. Knitting myself a sweater without having to adjust the size on the pattern. 8. Having a smaller ring size. 9. Letting my hair grow a little longer and not worrying about the length making my face look "fatter." 10. Smaller pretty bras. I guess that's it for today. We'll see how the two days of liquid diet and the "pooping water" go.
