I'ts been a while since I've been on here and I hope everyone who has had this surgery is doing well! I'm currently 158lbs and very healthy. Sadly I'm currently goin' though a divorce because my husband that I've been married to for more than half my life can't take the fact that men hit on me. You can't prevent that as a person, you just try to ignore it. He get's mad though. What am I supposed say to that? nothing I guess! I'm just sad that he want's to divorce me, and I only  had the sugery live a longer, happier and healthier life!

I been doing really well. I'm a little over 3months out now and can pretty much eat whatever i want to, just much smaller portions. I haven't had any complications (knock on wood!). I was dealin with some really bad head-hunger the first month, but i since gotten past that. I was 238lbs the day of surgery and now weigh 192lbs. God bless all, merry christmas and happy new years!

I had surgery on the 12th and everything went great! I went to my post-op appt. on the 19th and i had lost 14lbs in 7 days!!! I don't "feel' hungery, but i've been struggling with head hunger. Hopefully over time that will get better. I have my next appt. to see Dr. Machado on oct. 10th n i can't wait to see how much i weigh then. I don't have a scale at home n i don't plan on buyin one 'cause i'd probaly b on it everyday lol. My wounds are healing good n i haven't had any problems, been feelin pretty good. I do get tired easily tho. I must say that i really couldn't have asked 4 a better surgeon, she is so kind, caring, very and professional. Everyone at Mercy San Juan took very good care of me and were on top of everything. Smooches -Rhea-

Dr. Machado's office just called to give me A SURGERY DATE!!!!!!!!!! It's schedualed for Sept 12th. I'm SOOOOO scared in nervous! I go for a pre op appt. tomorrow! YAY.... please pray for me everyone. 

OMG... I went to my consult appt yesterday n Dr. Machado said she is gonna try to get me a date in sept cause as of oct. 1st. the school district is changing our insurence from pacificare to calpers. And w/ changing insurers it could delay things into the new year. I'm currently awaiting approval that was sent today. She said they can't give surgery dates until they have the approval for surgery. She also said that if they get the approval within this week, i should have no problem getting a sept surgery date (keepin' my fingers crossed!)... but if it takes a few weeks that they would most likely have to wait n go thru the new insurence company. VERY EXCITED N SCARRED ALL AT ONCE!!!!!!!!!! Pray for me! -Rhea-

Well i got my date for consultation today... yay!!! I'm getting there! It's set aug 25th.... gives me something to look forward to! Oh, happy day...lol!

I finished all that they require for qualifing for surgery. Now I'm just waiting for the surgeons office to contact me with the approval for consultation and set me up with an appt. Can't wait!!! Keep ur fingers crossed for me! -Rhea-

well, i went to both my appts. I passed the psych eval...YAY!!! I have one more appt w/ wmp on july 10th and then I done! i SOOOOOOOO can't wait!!!! TTYL, when I have more to report!

I had my nut eval on the 29th of last month and it went pretty good. She was real nice. I was asked every personal question you can possibly think of! I had to take this CRAZY long test that had a hundred ridiculous true or false questions on it. I have to go back on june 11th to find out if i passed... uh, oh.... scary! Then on the 12th is my 5th month wmp appt. I will have my last visit on july 10th! Then I can go back to my primary doc and ask him to summit my referal to see dr. Machado...YAY!!!! Can't wait and I'm having a hard deciding what surgery I want to have (lap band or rny) not 100% sure yet. Okay, i'm going to bed. Smooches!

I went to my appointment on the 8th. It went smooth as usal (weigh you and set new goals.) But the real good news is that i'm back at 225lbs.... YAY!!! Weird tho. Anyways, now i'm just waiting to do those other two appointments. Kinda worried about the pysch appt, only because i don't know what to expect. Other than that just been keepin' busy working and being a mom... so i always got something to do...lol. I will report when i have more news. Smooches -Rhea-
