This is my story. I have been over weight for the last 20 years and I have tried diets after diets. I'd lose 20 to 30 lbs and then gain all of it back plus more. I was looking into the RNY 2 years ago. But before I could make and appointment I had some problems and my medical doctor wanted me to see a heart doctor so I did and he wanted to do a heart catheterization. After the heart catheterization he put me in the hospital and did surgery the next morning. I had 4 by-passes and the surgery went very good with no problems. I also was a smoker and I quit smoking and have not started back. That also put more weight on me and it is harder to get any of it off. I went to see Dr Moron in July and make all of my appointments I needed for the lapband surgery. After everything was completed it was summited to the insurance co. BCBSMS. Well on Sept 4, 2007 my insurance co. did not approve it. So Janelle and Anne got together more information and resubmitted. Anne called me on Tuesday Oct 02,2007 and I was approved. So my surgery date is set for Nov 08, 2007 for right now. I'm so excited and I hope everything goes well. I will update any new information.
