Yesterday  August 1st was my 2 year anniversary and I am happy to say that to date I lost a total of 122 lbs. I was wearing a size 28W when I started this journey. I am very happy to say I am currently wearing 14/16. This by no means has been easy. God has help me through. All I can say OH is to keep your head up and take it one day at a time.

I went back to the doctor for a slight adjustment 3-23-09. I only lost 3 lbs since my last post in December. My doctor put about .2 cc  in my band yesterday. I am still on liquids and trying to keep my mind off food. I got to get a hold on my head hunger. I have to be mindful of what I am doing when I want to snack. I have been exercising at home. But decided to mix it up a bit and I joined the gym and loving it. I am feeling better about me.  

I went back to the doctor for a slight adjustment. I gain about 6 lbs after my unfill in November. My doctor put about .3 cc back in my band and I can tell the difference already I am not as hungry and I do not want to snack between meals. Maybe just maybe there is a happy medium here. Overall I feel pretty good and I am happy with my progress so far.  

I went to doctor on 11/3/08 I haven't had much energy. Really tired. I haven't been getting in enough food down. It seems that everything I eat is coming back up.  According to my doctor I have gone way to long doing this. He did a slight unfill today .6cc. I feel like I am not doing to good at this point. Feeling a little down and very hungry. I am going to call my doctor back if nothing changes in the next few days. I weigh again tomorrow and If I have gained I will call him for sure. Maybe .6cc was to much to take out. I will discuss this with him sooner than later. Not sure what I am going to see on that scale tomorrow. Almost afraid to look.

I finally made it down 100 lbs. This was my first real goal weight I was trying to reach. I still have about 63 more lbs I want to lose. I can only take it one day at a time. I am happy to have made it this far. My anniversary was August 1, 2008 and on that day I weighed 99 lbs less than the year before. God is Good all the time.

Well today I must say is a good day. One year ago I got a seat on the losers bench and I must say i like it on this side of the tracks. I weighed this morning and I am down 99 lbs. I was trying hard to reach a 100 lbs goal by today but I did not make it. That's okay with me. I feel great. People even refer to me as skinny. Go figure that one out. LOL. Happy Anniversary to all of the August Bandsters> KEEP LOSING!!!!  

I went in today for my fifth adjustment. Dr. Lusco was his usual pleasant self. We talked about how I was doing and he told me he was proud of my weight loss. He talked to me about what the average weight loss is with the lap band and that is approx 70% of my body fat which would put me at about 210 lbs. I explained to him that my goal weight is 160 lbs and God willing I am going to reach that goal. I am almost 1 year out and I am down 92.8 lbs. Not to mention I am not an average person. I know he has to tell me this because of medical reasons and the research statistics but. I am in this to win it. I know it is not a fast pace race but in do time. I never plan to look back at that 92.8 lbs except for to say bye bye. I only got .1 cc in my band today and I am okay with that. I just want to work on eating 3 meals a day and that is it. I continue to exercise and work towards my goal. This is a journey for my life.

What can I say. I went for my fourth adjustment on April 14, 2008 after which I started my two days of liquids. Everything seemed to be okay until I started back trying to eat soft foods which seemed like a chore. I have had so many PB's lately i feel like I am eating and then purging. With my adjustment before this one I would get the hiccups when I was full. This time it has taken me a week to figure out that when I burpe I am finished. If I take one more bite after the burpe I start with the PB's again.  I pray for a happy medium here.  If asked if I would do it all over again the answer would be the same. Yes I would.

Today was pretty good day. I went for my adjustment and the doctor and i had a long talk about how i was doing and he wanted to know if i was happy with the results so far. I have no complaints and yes I would do it all over again. It is true that it is a slow process but it is working for me.  OT: I bought my 16 year old son his dream car today 1984 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme. He will be going for his road test on Thursday. I am happy for him and nervous all in one. I will update again soon. Hugs and Kisses

I was so nervous today and I did not know why.  When I got to the office I had to try and prepare myself. The first one was not that bad but I am afraid of needles.  Believe it or not I did not even fill the stick this time but the next day I was kind of sore. I can tell I have some restriction.
