One year and counting

Ok people so, as of today it's one year and one day post op. I have lost 112lbs, havent taken my measurements yet, but know i will be down a ship load of those too. I feel so much better....about me, my weight, the way I look, the way I feel.....it's nice to be with my friends and not be the fat girl in the group any more. I don't mean that as in someone else is the fat girl now, I mean is it's nice to be the real me, where 10 years ago I had so much confidence and love for me, that I see me with friends as equals and not me being the "odd man out" so to speak.
I still have a long way to go, especially with the mind over food stuff. Eat to live, not living to eat. GOD I still love food, but find I'm at a place where i will reach for some yummie watermellon not the bag of marshmellows in the pantry for the fire pit. Or an apple and cheese and not a cheese sandwhich on Wonderbread three itmes a day cause it's simple and easy! That's a great feeling.
I love the fact I can cross my legs and sit with comfort with the car, at work, or on a chair, I finally have the option like everyone else.
I have my one year follow up with the man that saved me, Dr Pop.....on September 20th, and I am hoping to be at 195lbs when I step on their scale. That is just 8lbs.....better crack the whip.......get the old Ipod charged and the runners strapped on for some serious cardio walking time!
Getting a little stale on the food ideas.........need to break out some cook books and see what I can make that's new and good for me. In a rut like that and keep buying the same bloody stuff......any ideas of yummy work snacks that are high in protein would be great.
Thanks to my wonderful support circle.....my parents and family, the crew from Cambridge, the people I've meet on Facebook and OH, and of course my former fatty friend Stace for taking me on the ride of my life.
They say year two is the hardest and that we need to get back to basics......that's a good set of wrods.........
Here I go, to the next year of my life.....that means just one more year till another little Allen can come into the world.......that's very exciting!
