Yesterday was my 5th month post-opt I'm feeling great. I got my 3rd fill Monday she didn't want to give me a fill because she felt I was still at my green zone. I told her I'm hungry and eating more. So she gave me a little fill which is great i really have  restriction I can't finish a 1/2 cup of food.

My second fill is really working I'm getting full really fast I keep burping I never burped this much but I'm thankful for the restriction.  Today I was walking down the hallway at work and my coworker said your are really getting skinny she said I had to take a second look I didn't know who you were.  That made my day today.

I'm so happy right now that I have tears of joy I made it to 49 pounds lost.  This was a long hard struggle, people think WLS is the easy way out they just don't know what we have to do to lose a pound.  I'm so proud of myself right now there were times when I didn't lose that I said to myself why did I do this.  I will never say that again. YAAA ME!!

Today I had .4cc's added to my band so I'm now at 6.4cc's. I wasn't hungry I was just eating more so I'm hoping with the added saline I will get full fast again. Wish me luck.

Tonight I went to my first support meeting.  It was very helpful to talk to others face to face that's going through this journey also.  Tonights topic was about hydration how much water we should be drinking and the benifts to drinking enough water. Our next meeting is about grocery shopping.

I went to get my 2nd fill yesterday but didn't get it because the doctor felt  since I'm not feeling hungry and have to remind myself to eat that with 6cc's I must be in the green zone, she didn't  want to add to the band because it might take me in the red zone.  I've lost 5 pounds since my 1st fill June 22nd which is good it's slow but I'm happy with any loss.

Monday was my first fill, it was a breeze.  First she did a unfill to see how much was in the band.  I had 5cc's she added 1cc.  I can fill myself getting full faster right now I hope it last until my 2nd fill next month.

Today is the third time I ate and felt full, I have been timing myself to make sure I'm not eating to much. I had my post-op appointment last week I don't like their scale. The scale at the surgeons office and my scale at home match. I will track my pounds with both scales. The centers scale have me at a 25 pound lost, my scale has me at 33 pounds so I'm liking my scale better...lol...I can't wait for my 1st fill on the 22nd of this month. I will keep you posted Bye!

I had my surgery 05/20/09, it was a breeze.  I went in the operating room at 1:21 p.m. they had me move from the bed to the operating table which was really cold.  As the nurse got me ready with all these blankets she gave me some of the happy juice I started to get sleepy, I remember her saying it's almost 10 minutes.  The next thing I knew they were waking me it was 2:45 pm, 30 mintues later the nurse helped me up, I walked to the bathroom then I walked to the X-ray lab where I had to drink barium to make sure the band was in place and I can swallow.  Then the nurses had me to sit in a chair sipping water.  By 4:00 I  was at the pharmacy getting my medication.  I really didn't have pain it  felt like I did alot of stomach crunches and I was just sore.  I had surgery Wednesday I went to work for 6 hours Friday.  I'm feeling fine I didn't have any nausea or throwing up (knock on wood). I'm currently on the week 2 of the full liquid diet, so far so good. I lost 8 pounds since date of surgery but this week I gained almost two pounds I guess because I'm eating thicker foods now. I didn't have my surgery 05-06-09, I was very disapointed but grateful that he wanted to do some more test to make sure it was safe to have the surgery.  Well everything is okay my new date is 05-20-09.  Wish me luck.
