OCHSNER CLINIC FOUNDATION HOSPITAL

"The surgery was perfect, no complications and even left the hospital after only one night. The hopital was just ok.....the recovery room that night was awesome, those nurses were rockin'. Then the next moring they take me to a room and blah, from there. I asked for a private and was pretty much SOL there. The room they put me in had another patient, no biggie I guessed, but then I got to my bed and the dirty sheets from the previous patient was still on the floor....gross. My new nurse was aggravated that I was getting in this room only to leave in a few hours....excuse me I'm still a paying patient. I complained about the laundry on the floor and was told she would get to it. Everything I needed seemed to take forever. I was told I could leave after I had my broth for lunch. I was excited about that. Only thing is lunch never came, and now it was dinner time......dinner never came. I was so ready to leave. I sent my DH three times to get lunch/dinner. Finally the nurse went in the lounge to get a couple of items for me to eat. Is this sad or what. I bet those meals are on my bill. I finally swigged the broth down and flew the coup. I couldn't wait to get out of there. My only two wishes is that the wait wouldn't be so long, the wait in this place is crazy, and that they were closer to my home."

William Richardson

"My first impression of Doc was that he was very aware of my nervousness and he comforted me with a hug and told me I would be fine. He assured me I had no major health problems and a rather small abdomen that I would be ok. I joked with him a little, knowing he was a very serious kind of guy and I got a few smiles out of him so I was pleased. He was very nice and his eye contact was reassuring and made me feel confident in him. He anwsered all my questions, even some that may have been silly, and just made me feel comfortable.rnHis office staff is on top of it all. When you call, they call right back, they make appointments a breeze, the line you up with all that you need. The care is outstanding and they are all very nice and concerned with your needs. They offer support meetings once a month, diet supervision, Laura is a peach. rnI give Dr. Richardson and his staff the WooHoo award!"
