Preparation, attitude, courage

Mar 06, 2010

I want to talk about where I am at and where I am going. I am going to healthier land. I am amped and ready. Sure I should of went with RNY instead of lap band but thats the past.

We should never dwell in the past. It does not serve us.

We must be warriors and advocates and take care of each other.

My room is now painted a dark purple. I like it. Its full of books and bits of magic and interesting things. Right now my 7 year old daughter Lydia is asleep on my bed. My little dog Cocoa is next to me and I appreciate her warmth.

I took my last bite of solid food. I haven't been having any kinds of cravings. I am so focused on the goal of getting to surgery used to my new diet and with all the vitamins my body needs and will need that it doesn't seem like I am lacking.

I am sure at some point I will be wanting something. However, back in September when I got diagnosed with pre diabetes, I gave up most carbohydrates. Pasta? No thanks. However, fresh bread, a bite or 3 is good.

Now I am loving the potato leek broth and raspberry lemonade. I tolerate the 42 goop of whey protein.

I don't feel that we have to lose alot of hair. The trauma of surgery and the lack of protein combine to make that happen. I am taking a homeopathic remedy called 'arnica montana' and getting protein from day 1!

I have been growing out my hair and while its vain, it also makes me feel good. I have crazy curly thick hair and thats what I like.

I am mostly packed. Going to pick up travel size toiletries so I don't have to contend with any weight lifting issues. I have my Gas X strips. I have friends behind me and with me.

My natural state is that of health and energy. I am ready.
