Roxanne Hello~~sorry to see that you are in so much pain. I hardest part of the journey is the waiting! But it is worth the wait.~ ~ May you always have an Angel by your side..... Watching out for you in all the things you do...... Reminding you to keep believing in brighter days......Finding ways for your wishes and dreams to come true......Giving you hope that is as certain as the sun.....Giving you the strength of serenity as your guide......May you always have love and comfort and courage....May you always have an Angel by your side......Someone there to catch you if you fall..... holding your hand and helping your through it all.

Roxanne, I hope you get approval for your surgery soon and keep up the positive attitude you seem to have, as this will help you through. Take care of yourself and give yourself all the love you deserve starting right NOW!!!! Hugs,

I read your post today about you mother-in-law suggesting that you all walk together. I would like to suggest to tell her that YES AFTER I recover from my sugery for awhile I would love to. Just think this may be a blessing. Once you have sugery and you begin to lose you WILL be able to walk and they can be your partners. Hey I think this will help. God Bless and Huggles, SUE

The reason to stop drinking 30 min before is so that you will be able to have room to take in some protein. The reason to wait 30 min after you eat is to allow the pouch to empty. If your pouch is tight, you will find that if you drink right before you eat, nothing will go down./janet

Hi there, I read you post about exercising. Girl let me tell ya! LOL I hurt all over also and could not do nothing. I tryed to do exercises sitting also. What I did was did some house cleaning each day I wanted to keep moving. I did 5 minutes of walking on my ski machine if that. LOL I walked to my mail box each day. It's down the street. I parked far from the door of a store and walked. NO it wasn't easy, but from somewhere You get this energy and I tell you it feels great. when you do you will want to do something. Im very proud to tell you I am now walking 2 miles a day. I can't believe all this. I can't believe I use to just walk to my driveway and be in pain and out of breath. Believe me you will do the same soon. I started out weighing 399lbs and now Im 296lbs and have much more to go. But I love it, I like watching that scale pointer go down. You hang in there and take care hon~*~Hugs~*~

Roxanne, I had surgery 2/24/2003 and was approved by Cigna PPO very quickly. Paperwork submitted 1/28/2003, sent to review board at Cigna 1/31/2003. Approved same day. Please read my profile for more details. Cigna PPO requires a psych evaluation and a nutritional evaluation for approval. Good Luck in your journey. Health & Happiness!

Hi, I noticed on the message board that you were inquiring about anyone being approved through Cigna PPO. I was approved for a lap RNY in Madison WIsconsin in December. Since then I have had my surgery. I have not yet received any bills or amounts oweing. They did take a long time to approve it. I called daily for 2 months. Finally they approved it, but again it was like pulling teeth to get them to send me an approval letter. Cigna is going to approve you no problem, but they just need the cattle prod. Good luck . Any questions please email me. Julie
