I got my Insurance Approval!!!!!! I have been afraid to show how excited I am because of the chance of being denied. I am REALLY...REALLY excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Today was my last visit with my Surgeon and I am officially scheduled for October 15th.
Dr. Means was very impressed that I knew so much about the surgery and I knew what to expect afterwards. Thanks to everyone who answered my MANY questions!!!!!!
He said he would be happy if I lost 50 lbs because of me being a light weight, but I don't think he realizes how determined I am to stick with the program. I don't think my goal of 75 lbs. is unrealistic.
I am going to tell my Mom tomorrow. I hope she takes it OK.

I have all my testing completed and I had my last visit with my PCP today. By the time I left the office his secretary had all my paperwork ready to fax to my surgeon's office. I hope it doesn't take long to get approved by the Insurance Company!!!! My doctor told me not to worry and that everything should be fine.
During my monthly visits I only lost 6.5 pounds, but I never had a gain and that is a huge accomplishment for me.
I am thankful that I had to take 6 months to prepare for my surgery. I've learned a lot about WLS and what will be expected from me and I am confident that I am making the right choice for me. Although I have friends who have gone through this who give me advice, I feel OH has been a real blessing for me. I am so glad I found the Light-Weights forum because they have been such a great encouragement.
I still haven't told my Mom yet. No sense getting her all worked up before the date. I did tell my sister and brother, but I kindof wish I would have waited until I knew it was a for sure thing.
My husband has finally excepted it and even though my oldest daughter is scared by the whole thing she doesn't try to talk me out of it any more. My other 2 daughters are really excited for me.

Well, my date has been set for October 15, 2008. I haven't been approved by the insurance yet and I am praying there isn't any problems. I have tried to follow the rules to the letter.
I am down 6 pounds and I would like to get a few more off before my final visit with the doctor before surgery. I don't want to take any chances of gaining at the last moment and then having to postpone my surgery.
