I am almost two weeks post-op and feeling pretty good.  The first week was very difficult but each day got much better.  I am now getting around good and doing well with my required protein and water intake.  I will be going back to work tomorrow....kind of looking forward to getting back to my routine and not have to rely on everyone's help.  At my one week appointment with my surgeon to get my JP drain out I found out I lost 14 lbs!! that is great news!  I am  really looking forward to the months ahead.  I am also very thankful and feel very blessed to be given this opportunity to start over and take control of my life, my health and my outer appearance.

Well yesterday I went to my pre-op nutrition class...it was very informative.  I received a book with all info I will need on my weight loss journey.  I am supposed to keep it with me at all times.  Things like products to use and how much protein is contained in different items of food and much more....  So after class I went shopping.  I hit up GNC for the protein powder, vitamins and protein drinks.  Then went to the grocery store to get stuff for my liquid diet and things that I will need at the hospital.  I am so excited I can't hardly contain myself.  I tried to buy some last food items that I will not be able to eat for quite some time...it was hard I am so ready to be on the other side.  The only thing I bought was some Ben&Jerry's Ice-cream (Napoleon Dynamite) my favorite.  I took a few bites and put it away.  I have two days of regular food before the liquid diet that will leave me starving for sure!!  But oh well, this is what I signed up for, so I am ready! 

Guess what!?!?!  As soon as I finished updating my page for the first time ever I got a call...It was the insurance person at the Surgeon's office calling with a date....November 14th, that's next tuesday!  I am so excited.  I called my sister to tell her my good news...she thinks I am way to excited...but this is a wonderful thing for me.  I cannot wait.  I called and pre-registerd at the hospital and scheduled my pre op appointments for tomorrow and my nutrition class is the day after that.  I am well on my way...
