Oct 01, 2009

Yesterday was my one year mark. This year has just flown by.My life is the same but richer, I am the same but yet so different. there have been many changes besides the weight loss. I am now more committed than ever to building my best life. I want to grow and reach my dreams. Life is truly an every day blessing. I am now down to 154 lbs . I have lost 116 lbs . My stall did break and I lost 6 pounds this past month. I really am not sure where I will land , I didn't think this weight was possible but here I am. I do love my DS. I also want to Thank all the OH community for the ongoing support and helpful info. To the "lurker" dare to dream, take the plunge and check out the DS, Blessings to all,

11 months update

Aug 30, 2009

Hello everyone, I missed last month here on my blog. Where to begin? I have hit a stall this past month. My weight has stayed at 160 or even up a few pounds on different days. I have lost off my arms and my hips so I don't know if you can call it a stall. It sure feels like one to me lol lol I have really been watching my carb intake, so I don't think it is that. I am going to try an increase in water and exercise. i am still unsure of my final goal. I am at the high end of my goal, I guess time will tell. I am wearing a size six pant, or a large four. I still fit in some of my size eights. It just depends on the brand and the fit. My top is a small or medium .I am beginning to look into the world of plastics. That will require even more research than the DS!!! lol That was a no brainer!!

Jun 29, 2009

I was very excited this month, I have now lost over 100 lbs, 103 to be exact. My lab results came back and all is well. My Iron is still low and my A is a little low but better than before surgery.I have started training for a half marathon in the fall. My confidence has shot up enough that I have started selling Silpada jewellery. I will post pics soon. Have a great summer everyone.

8 months really late blog

Jun 14, 2009

Hi everyone, It was 8 months on May 30th. I was down 97 lbs. I have had no complications to date, The only part that drives me crazy is it takes months to get back some of my lab results from Calgary. My A and D were low before I had surgery and I don't think they have gone up, but they haven't gone down either.I am wearing a size 8 pant and a medium top. I think my goal weight will be lower because I am realizing I am small boned, lol who knew??? lol I feel great and love that my energy is back. My head space still feels fat lol  People tell me i am tiny but I still feel big. Loving my DS!!!!

7 months

May 03, 2009

A few days late, This month was an 8 pound loss for me. It is now 88 pounds gone. I am wearing a size 10 pant  and a medium or even large top.My EWL is 84%I think the hardest part is the brain hasn't caught up with my body yet. Like so many others i still feel fat, even looking at current  pictures I feel fat. In my mind I know a size ten is not a fat person size, See what I mean?I have been checking out lab rats to get an idea of where I could be next month, I am hoping I can lose 8 pounds this month as well . Believe it or not I still don't have my lab results back from Calgary from last month. I guess they wait until they have a certain amount before they run them. The joys of Alberta health care I will be happy to get those results back. Until next month, happy losing everyone.

Six months

Mar 31, 2009

Six months, it is really here. Let's start with the facts. I am down 80 lbs so far. That puts me at 75% EWL.I still have to see what my labs results are, the results take forever to come back> I am curious to see what my A and D levels will be since they were low before surgery.I am feeling great and the skin issue is not as bad as I thought it would be.I can't wait to see where I will be at my one year date. I am enjoying being back at the gym and find running so much easier with the 80 lbs off. I am trying to find a race for the fall, a half would be good. Until next month , "Happy losing!!"

5 months

Feb 24, 2009

I am the worlds worst blogger, sorry to everyone!!! Lets see, where should I start? I am a week late today. I was down 70 pounds at my 5 month mark and 67% EWL. It doesn't seem real yet. I can notice, my clothes are much smaller and I am wearing a size 12 pant and a large top. Yet when I see picture I still see FAT, I agree it takes the head awhile to catch up with the weight loss. I will be doing my 6 month labs soon and I can't wait to get those results back. I finally got my pre op lab results at my 3 month review, and my Iron, A and D were low before surgery. I have made changes and want to see how everything is going.I am sick as a dog with a bad chest cold but am happy to report that the great passion of running has returned to me!!!! I am so thankful for this. To me that is the one really cool thing about WLS. It is so much easier to move at this weight.Life is good and I am grateful for all the people who give of their time to keep this community supported, Thanks for giving me a place to learn about the post op life!!! Until next time happy losing everyone!!!

Three months already

Jan 04, 2009

ok, well it is almost 3 1/2 months on Tuesday. I need to do a better job of blogging. I was at 48 lbs lost at 3 months. I really wanted to hit my 50% EWL mark which is 53 lbs, I did that today, I was so excited. I love reading all the other blogs and looking at the before and after pictures, it makes it feel more real for me. I am grateful for my progress to date and to be honest it seems like a dream when I look at other profiles, I get excited for the months to go by, I want to slow down and notice all the changes as they happen. Lets be real here lol it took awhile for me to get to that weight, it won't disappear overnight. I will try to upload a pictures. My before pics were erased ,ahh teenagers!! But I do have one taken at two months and I will take one this week or at the four month mark.
