A lot has changed

Let's see, I got almost to my goal then I got pregnant and gained about 50 lbs..at least so now I'm just working on getting off this baby wieght, it's been 7 months, and I've only lost about 20 lbs. I got my banded tightened and I'll see how it goes from there.

Hello everyone, well, it's December and I haven't lost as much as I expected but hey that's my fault for not exercising enough. The good things is that I've lost a lot of inches. I didn't gain during Thanksgiving either, can you believe it??? I've been with my family since Sept so I think once I get home in my own element with my exercise equipment, etc. I'll be back on track again.

I haven't been on in a while, I have a lot going on right now. Good news is im 178-179 right now. So that's great, I'm almost at my goal of 150. Hopefully, I'll get to that by the end of the year. I'm posting some new pics soon...so check back soon !

This will be just a short post. I'm elated 
because I'm finally in the 180s...I'm down to 184 now and I'm almost at my mini goal of 180 by the end of August so I'm thrilled ! Thanks to all those who gave me their support and encouraging words, I really appreciate it. Bye Bye until next time

2nd Fill

I got my 2nd fill on monday and I can't really feel a difference so on friday, I'm calling to make another appointment because I can't feel hardly any restriction. That's a little frustrating, I only have 1.5ccs in my band, I mean come on...
Back From Atlanta

Ok so all I have to say is I'm rather disappointed in myself. I came back from Atlanta today weighing 5 more lbs. than when I left. Of course I didn't eat right at all...grabbing things here and there...I didn't think I did so bad though, because I did a lot of walking and I was really active...guess I thought wrong. I'm really sad about it and I hope I get those 5 lbs plus more off...My goal for the end of Aug. is 180 and now I have a set back of 5 lbs. I have an appt. for a fill Aug. 13, I'm going to tell her to give me a lot of restriction since I'll be leaving town again at the end of august for 3 months. I know I need to exercise I'm going to get my butt motivated and stay on track, it feels REALLY bad to gain weight....really bad.

Ok hello again, I got my first fill Friday 13th..oooh spooky lol Anyway I got 1cc in my band so I'll see if that's enough for now, I can't really tell the difference yet. I need to exercise more which I'm planning on doing today, because the scale numbers are going down but slowly. HOWEVER I tried on a 13/14 dress and got into, ok ok so it zipped up ALMOST all the way but heck I got into it and by next sunday I'm sure it will zip up all the way too ! I gotta get rid of some of that back fat. Ok so a lot of people were telling me, oh hey you look good, you look smaller, etc etc. I could not see it! I still can't like other people say they can but I can tell in my face, that its smaller. So I was in Texas towards the end of june for 3 days and I'm going to Atlanta next weekend and I'm happy to say I dont feel as self-conscious about wearing sleeveless shirts as I would have before. Thank GOD because it's going to be hot down there. I reached my goal of getting below the 200 mark on the scale so that's a Big Victory for me, I have seen my weight starting with the #1 since my freshman year of college. So my next small goal is 180 by mid-august, I think its a do-able goal. I went shopping yesterday because 90% of my clothes don't fit anymore. Oh yeh, yesterday was my 3yr wedding anniversary and we went to TGIFridays..I ordered chicken from there right portions menu and I couldn't finish half of it. Yesterday was a good day.
FINALLY BANDED

Well Well, it's been almost 2 months since I've been on the site. I had a lot going on, sorry :( Good News is that I'm banded as of June 6th, 2006. My surgery was the first one scheduled for that morning. I was at the hospital bright and early that day. I had been running on 1 or 2 hours of sleep because I was up all night talking to Shun. I kept asking him, are you sure I should go through with it are you sure....Oh yeah I was craving all kinds of foods of course. Speaking of craving foods, boy am I ever now, I want everything from KFC to Pizza Hut..probably just because I know I cant have it right now. Which is the whole purpose of why I got the surgery in the first place. Ok, my surgeon is GREAT! Her name is Paayal Pinky Mehta and she's such a sweetheart and she genuinely cares. My stay at the hospital was a less than pleasant one, two of the nurses were so RUDE and ignorant but the rest of the people I dealt with were fine and helped keep me at ease. The food was..well you know hospital food..lets just say I'm glad to be home! Now, I had A LOT off gas pain after the surgery, which is normal from what I've learned and walking does help and I walked and walked so now, 4 days later, the gas pains are much better than before. I'm sure within the week they will be gone. I have incision pains but now most of the pain is with the bigger incision which I guess where the port is. I couldn't find any abdominal binders but I bought a girdle a few sizes too big and it does the trick with keeping everything in place and it helps me to sleep better at night. I have my follow-up visit this week and Ill let you all know how I'm coming along. I'm excited...will be more excited when I'm out of the liquid stage(another week and a half).

So today I got a phone call from one of the nurses from pre-surgical testing asking about one of the meds I listed on my paperwork. So there might be some issue that maybe by wed. it wont be out of my system enough and cause some problems as far as the
anesthesia. So maybe my surgery will have to be set back, which would be EXTREMELY disappointing. Well they said they would leave it up to my surgeon and the anesthesiologist to decide if by wed I could have the surgery. Well, I saw on my caller ID my surgeon's office called twice but left no message....So I figured well if no one left a message then maybe everything is still set to go...I mean if there was some problem, I'd think someone would leave a message or something, at least that's what I'm hoping. So for now, I wont go shopping to get the things I'll need for before and after surgery until I speak with someone on monday.

I really appreciate everyone sharing their experiences with me. It kinda puts my mind a little more at ease and I don't worry as much. I don't know why it is I have this horrible fear of any type of pain or side effects. I guess I've had some really bad experiences in the past where side effects just really got to me. Like the prep before my colonoscopy was a nightmare, I was up all night and nauseous and I was just like "Oh God. please let me get through the night" I'm partly just a big baby but I think part is real fear...maybe psychological, I really don't know. But it's nice to hear from others so at least I have some idea as to what I'm getting myself into :)
