I had my surgery on June 21, 2007. I was in the hospital for 3 days. The night after and the day after my surgery was the worst. I was so nausea. I didn't know what it was until another gastric-bypass patient was walking around and looking for others so she found me. And I told her I was feeling yucky so she told me she did to until they took her off the pain medication. That's when I told my nurse and she told my doctor. He came in that day and took me off the pain medication and put me on something else. My doctor came and checked on my 2 times a day for the 3 days I was their. All the nurses and cnas their were great. They made me feel very comfortable. They were very helpfull. All my family called me everyday. My mom and step dad came and visit me. They've been great. My boyfriend was great while I was in the hospital as well he was their everyday. He even took a week off from work to be with me. It's been a week and 4 days since my surgery. Before my surgery I was 363lbs. I've lost 15 lbs. I'm now 348lbs. It's been a little difficult with the diet. I want real food so badly. I have an appointment on July 19, 2007 so I can maybe eat real food.
