3 Months Post-OP

Three months post-op and I have not lost the desired amount of weight that I had envisioned.
The reason for the slow weight loss is that I could not get proper restriction. I have had four fills in the doctor’s office, this past Thursday I had a fill under fluoro.
Guess what, that fill did it, under fluoro, the doctor found out that I "Did Not" have restriction, without having the fluoro no telling how many more months it would have taken to arrive at the point that the band was doing its part!
Now the Journey Begins!

The surgery was text book perfect, I was surprised at how beautiful the scars are, no bruising just fine lines.
Was there pain, yes but was and is being controlled by pain medication. When I was in the hospital, I walked every two hours on the clock, did not miss one walk.
The worst for me was the gas but again with medication and walking plus the barium given to view my stomach opening gave me diarrhea, which in turn, helped with pushing the gas through. I am just fine, cannot believe the ease of this procedure.
If you are considering the Lap Band procedure do not be worried, there is discomfort, minimal pain but it passes fast...
I want to thank all my friends that have prayed, supported and comforted me throughout this process. There are so many angels on this message board, I send my love and support out to them at anytime they need me...
The thought of food is gone Praise the Lord!
Once again to all, I am doing "Marvelous"
P.S....I sure love the tummy support band that my doctor gave me to wear...It fits over my clothes from underneath my breast to my tail bone (it is latex with Velcro) it sure supports your tummy. Check with your doctor, to make sure he has ordered one for you when he discharges you from the hospital, it's great!
