Wed evening I was in pain because my pain med wore off. I needed help getting out of the recliner to go to the bathroom. My hubby was so understanding at 2 in the morning! (Not a joke...he was great!)

Thur - When you have pain med all is well....when you don't.....LOOK OUT!
This was a day to adjusting to being at home. You have to remember to get up and walk around and to get all of your fluids in.

Fri - A repeat of Thur.....but with a little less pain med.

Sat - Feeling better....did more walking around. I noticed that my back muscles hurt a lot and that was because I couldn't hold my tummy in so the muscles were being overworked! OUCH

Sun - Much Better - Taking pain med in the evening and at night.

Mon - Semi - Barely Normal. No pain med except for nighttime. I even got up and cooked dinner for my hubby because he had to work late. 

Tues - Back to work! WOW I was a little slow. I have a desk job but I work at 3 different decks! LOL Imagine that. I was feeling a little bad around 11 so I took a pain pill and did much better.  That night I had no med and slept ok. 

Pain med screws with my sleep so I am not sleeping well right now. During the night I roll on my tummy and that hurts so bad. I wake up so sore. I am a belly sleeper so that my be aiding to my loss of sleep these nights! UGH

Only a week more and I might feel like sleeping on my tummy again!

I was scheduled for surgery @ 1:00 and it didn't happen till 4:30! Wow

I got out of surgery around 8:30.

I got a 3 in 1 surgery:
Bypass
Gallbladder
Hernia

That night....I got in my room about 10:30 and went to sleep. 

Next Morning......
I was handling my pain great! I couldn't believe it. I was even pirky!
The nurse told me that I would have to get up and walk at least 3 times.

So I did. Wasn't that painful because I had a local pain killer pump in me....you even get to go home with it. That is very nice.

Around 4 or 5 that evening the doctor came in and was willing to let me go home since I was doing to so good with my pain.

So I got to come home late the next day and I had an hour and fifteen minute drive home.

For everyone that wants to know, I am going to give a run down on how fast it took me from start to finish.

June 8th - Went to Seminar for Dr. Gorospe

July 6th - I had my Intake visit

July 18th - I got my Surgery Date (8/14/07)

July 27th - Psychology Appt

Aug 1st - Ultrasound/Bloodwork (Bailey Med Cen)

Aug 2nd - Dietician Meeting - Bailey

Aug 3rd - Sleep Study

Aug 7th - Pulmonolgy Appt & Cardiology Appt

Aug 8th - Pre-Op Appt - Pre-Op Consult - Psychology Appt - Bailey (Appt 1&2)

Aug 10th - EDG & Hydascan (gallbladder) Bailey

Aug 13th - Venacava Filter - Bailey - (Previous Bloodclot) & Support Group Meeting

Aug 14th - Bypass DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
